Our Bon Voyage Party was everything I could have hoped for. Family, Friends and FUN with the BIT Players at the Firehouse Theatre in Newport RI. Unbeknownst to Tami, I asked the BITs to do a serenade for Tami onstage during their Improv Comedy Show. (watch the attached video) Not only was THAT awesome, but I got to join the BITs onstage and sing with them. (Which in itself was a priviledge and a whole lotta fun). A special thanks to Frank Fusaro, Jim Foley, Jarrod Pimental, Neal Leaheey, Dylan Eberle and Stephanie Landau.
After the show we had champagne provided by the Firehouse Theatre's Jack and Donna Maytum. It was a great treat and they helped to make EVERYTHING special (from setup to cleanup) Thank You, guys so much. Then it was off to Celtica for karaoke and more silliness. Not to mention more drinks! I had a great time singing a duet of "Drift Away" with Jim Foley. And then after many more drinks, Tami and I took to the karaoke stage to do our rendition of "Leaving on a Jet Plane".
Lastly thanks to all of our daughters, Stephanie and Nicole Raffensperger, and Chelsea Holloway for being there to make our day special. And to my husband, Brian (and the sound-effects for Jim Foley's "pet racoon") who "maintained" and was my designated driver.
It was a great night!
Next up... Bordeaux or BUST!
